Today’s moodboard is something I created for a single mama looking to refresh her bedroom into a personal sanctuary without spending a fortune. I was able to source some inexpensive but nice looking products and give her direction on some DIY projects where I couldn’t find ideal products in her price range. This busy lady is a single working mom who is also running her own business so she needed a quiet serene place that also included a working space for her growing business.

She was looking for something that felt like a modern farmhouse. Lots of texture, light and bright with a little moodiness thrown in. Here’s a couple of my inspiration images:

Some of these rooms are more modern and some lean rustic, but all of them incorporate lots of texture. I pulled all that inspiration together with my own vision into the design and I love the warm, calm feeling I get from the final moodboard.
